ECC trustee named to state board

Gloria Wiggins-Hicks, a member of the Board of Trustees at Edgecombe Community College, has been named to the executive board of the N.C. Association of Community College Trustees.

She is retired community relations manager of Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant.

The N.C. Association of Community College Trustees was founded in 1967 to provide community college trustees an organization to further the aims, goals and development of the state’s community colleges.

The association is composed of the boards of trustees of the 58 community colleges in the state. Total membership in the NCACCT is currently 805.

Wiggins-Hicks has served on the ECC Board of Trustees since 1997. She is a member of its building and grounds committee and is a former vice chairwoman of the board.
